HEALTH:FURTHER 2016 PRESENTER
Samuel W. “Bo” Bartholomew has led PharmMD’s nationwide expansion and year-over-year consistent growth since 2006 in his role as president.
“The vision of PharmMD to create a healthier world by addressing the nationwide epidemic of misuse of medication fuels my own passion for making a difference,” shares Bartholomew who continues to be active in a variety of non-profit endeavors.
Bartholomew co-founded PharmMD in Nashville, TN with Clayton McWhorter, a healthcare pioneer and successful private equity firm entrepreneur. The firm continues to expand and receive industry acknowledgement for its innovation in the field of Medication Therapy Management and Medicare Part D Star Ratings improvement. Prior to PharmMD, Bartholomew incubated a health advocacy firm as well as a telemedicine physician access company. Prior to that, he spent four years with HCA’s Executive Development program where he helped build one of HCA’s newest hospitals and assisted in the management of Centennial Medical Center.
Bartholomew is an active member with the Nashville Healthcare Council and he is former Chair of Leadership Healthcare, a professional organization that provides leadership training for healthcare executives. Bartholomew has served on the Board for Tennessee Red Cross; Tennessee Center for Bioethics and Culture; Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation, and is currently on the board of PharmMD, CyramedX, The Nashville Fellows Program and The Fellows Initiative. He holds a BA in history from Davidson College and an MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen School of Management.
