Mary Alice Heston, Vice President of Industry Acceleration, is responsible for strategic, customer and partner, programs delivering on digitization and innovation solving disruptive industry business challenges. Mary Alice is a member of the Global Distribution executive leadership team. Ms. Heston’s responsibilities encompass developing an overall Industry strategy that helps our customers invest in the right technology to stay competitive and earn the trust of their customers. In addition, she is responsible for partner programs that accelerate time to value and success for customers. Primarily, this includes providing customers with industry specific business solutions, growing the Partner ecosystem, and global Industry alignment.Members of Industry Acceleration team interact with a diverse group of global customers and partners spanning Financial Services, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Retail & Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Communications & Media, Government, and Travel, Transportation & Hospitality. Ms. Heston leads a team of 25 people with an average tenure of 5 years. She has built an organization focused on new market development, innovation, and expanding the partner ecosystem. She is personally engaged in several strategic customer and partner relationships acting as an executive sponsor or participating on an executive steering committee. Ms. Heston joined Salesforce in 2013. Prior to her current position, Ms. Heston was the Senior Director for Industry execution responsible for Industry Marketing, Enablement, and Sales delivery. Prior to Salesforce Ms. Heston held leadership positions at Oracle. She was the Senior Director of Oracle’s Customer Interaction Strategies organization, where she was responsible for developing and delivering programs that fostered and improved the overall customer relationships. Mary Alice’s previous positions with Oracle include: Director Global Internal Communications and Director of North America Consulting specializing in database design and implementation, business intelligence, and knowledge management. Ms. Heston began her technology career in 1990 at Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), where she held the position of Program Manager until 1992. From 1992 until 1997 she held the position of Program Director with ABB and managed global teams, lived abroad, was responsible for large scale customer implementations. Ms. Heston has a BS in Computer Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. She and her family reside in Nashville, TN. Locally she devotes her time to several organizations including College Mentor for Kids, The Imagination Library, and The Special Olympics.
