Program Director, MassChallenge
Nick is the Program Director for PULSE@MassChallenge, a digital health accelerator that matches startups to work on demonstration projects with over 30 partners like the City of Boston, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Vertex, AARP, MGH, and Cerner to address health’s most massive challenges. Since 2010, MassChallenge has held the core believe that solving the world’s massive challenges starts with helping entrepreneurs win. MassChallenge startups raised over $3B in funding, earned over $2B in revenue, created over 80,000 jobs, and significantly impacted issues like health, climate change, and food. Its programs are all equity free, serve locations all over the world (including Israel, Mexico, and Switzerland), and drive success through world-class mentorship, industry-agnostic and vertically-focused programming, innovation advising, and startup-corporate-government collaboration. Prior to joining MassChallenge, Nick was Co-Founder and CEO of VerbalCare, where he designed patient-centered communication platforms for providers and both verbal and nonverbal patients to improve shared decision making, healthcare management, and patient engagement. He was named General Manager in 2015 after Medical Specialties Distributors acquired VerbalCare.
