Chief Development Officer
Steve Tremitiere is the Chief Development Officer for both Health:Further and Briovation, and is a Catalyst and Connector who is intensely focused on innovation at the intersection of Health and Social Impact. He has 30 years of experience in strategic business development across a wide range of industries with a particular emphasis on healthcare and technology, and an extensive background working with new business initiatives.
Steve joined Briovation as Chief Development Officer in 2018, having identified the organization as an established leader in healthcare innovation with the potential for tremendous national and international impact, both as an investment firm and as a change agent in the industry.
As the Chief Development Officer of Briovation, Steve leads Brio’s business development efforts as it aims to transform health care investing and partner with world class organizations to identify, optimize and leverage innovation to address the transformation underway in this critical sector.
In early 2019, Steve partnered with Marcus Whitney to evolve Health:Further into a strategic advisory firm. In a few short months, the pair have become advisors for CEOs of multi billion dollar healthcare firms and partners with the Greater Manchester UK international health innovation initiative.
Steve also founded GrayHare Ventures, an organization focused on fostering innovation in Health, Technology and Social Impact. For nearly ten years GHV has been dedicated to working with innovative clients: established organizations, exciting early stage companies, and fast growth startups – leading them in creating highly effective business “ecosystems” through integrated leadership, business development, partnership and sales strategies.
Steve engaged with CEO David Feinberg and the Executive Team at Geisinger Health to create and launch Springboard Health, a highly innovative population health initiative. Springboard Health was founded in 2016 as a breakthrough approach to solving critical national and global health challenges. The intent is to engage and empower an entire city to achieve health transformation by fostering an environment of access, possibility, and collaboration, and to build a repeatable model which will scale across the country and globally. Steve brought together a unique national team of advisors, partners, funders, and local stakeholders for this broad and deep community engagement initiative.
Other healthcare engagements including working with clients to address the challenge that 50+ million Americans who are uninsured or underinsured face in gaining access to prescription medicine, accelerating business development strategies for digital healthcare companies, and working with an international organization which is leading the charge to improve and standardize patient-centered care in hundreds of hospitals and health systems around the world.
Prior to founding GrayHare, Steve spent 25 years in the technology space, providing executive leadership in business development and partnership development for a range of organizations including companies which pioneered mobile technology.
In addition to his professional work Steve serves on Advisory Boards for a number of national health and social impact organizations including the SXSW Health Track Advisory Committee, Esther Dyson’s Wellville Initiative, EveryoneOn, Social Innovations Lab and the WISER Girls Initiative in Kenya.
