Last week I promised to get away from the philosophical and give an overview of the different Health:Further properties. This is just to let you know where to find us.
Medium: We’re going to build the community here on Medium. This is where the conversation will happen, so if you don’t have an account already set one up so you can follow and comment. That will also make it a lot easier for you to join us as contributors here in the near future…yes, we’re going to come asking. In fact, I’ll ask now: If you are in one of the following sectors (academic or industry), have a cool angle on trends and innovation in your field, and want to talk about it, leave a comment below or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
- Healthcare IT
- Consumer health tech
- Med device
- Biomedical engineering
- Food and nutrition
- Fitness and wellness
- Mental health
We will publish those contributions here, and we’re really excited to see the kind of discussion your ideas generate. That really is the foundational goal of Health:Further — to have the community engaging with each other in interesting, constructive conversation. You have the ideas and create the solutions, we’re just here to keep the website running and keep the trolls out.
Well, mostly. We do have a few things to say as your partners in the community. So we’ll publish items from the team here at Health:Further. These will include interviews with people from across health and healthcare, conversations about the topics our research group are looking at with our innovation partners (first up, data science), and our personal thoughts about topics related to our respective roles here at the company.
Email: a well-curated, web-based publication is all well and good for highlighting current trends in health and innovation. It’s also good for getting everyone talking with each other. It’s not good for pushing out important information. So, every two weeks, we’ll send out a digest of industry news, highlights from Medium, news from Health:Further, and maybe some exclusive content designed only for email subscribers. Subscribe using the form at the bottom of the Health:Further homepage. If you have tips for news that we should consider including in the newsletter, reply to the newsletter or email me at email@example.com.
Social: You know the drill. We’re highlighting news and offering mild commentary on health and healthcare, and hopefully having some casual conversations as far as 140 characters will take us. Find us on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook. Send us tips on Twitter, and share the love by following and sharing content on whatever your preferred social platform happens to be.
Multimedia: Stay tuned. Jumpstart Holding’s Creative Director Jacob Jones and I are scheming, but, well…just stay tuned and we’ll let you know when we have something.
